New Treads!!

Just got the tires replaced on my 2011 Compass. As you might have seen in the current tire thread my wrangle sr-a's only lasts 28,XXX miles. I opted for the Continental ContactPro with eco plus as the Jeep is primarily a pavement pounder anyway. The ride is greatly better and noise so far is almost non existent. The tires only have 30 miles on them so far so I'll report back in a few months or so when I get a couple thousand miles on them. So far so good.

Tire size P215 65 17.

Very nice!

Just switched the tires on my fiancee's 08 Compass. She was able to knock out 52k on the originals...but they were down to the steel belts (oops, my bad).

We ended up getting another set of firestones but we upped the size based on the shops recomendation (same size you're running). So much quieter now, no more shaky steering wheel at 60+ and she can actually drive through standing water on the freeway without getting knocked around...

We did the alignment as well. The old tires were worn down to the steel on the inside of each front tire, alignment was WAY off.

I still hate buying tires though :P

Nice! This past November I put on some Yokohama Geolander AT/S's onto my 2008 Compass. Much better ride on and off pavement and in snow. It would probably look cooler with a 2" lift and a bigger tire sizr, but they get the job done!

It's been 6,000 miles on the new Continentals and I have to say that they are wearing nicely. The ride is still as good as when they were put on. MPG has been hovering aroun 26.8. I don't think that is too bad with the ac blasting and a little bit of a lead foot. On another note I have replaced the spark plugs are 32,000 miles and I couldn't tell where the V-groove was on the electrodes.

Here is a pic of the driver's side front tire.

The thread pattern does seem to hold little stones but noise levels are alot lower than that of the Goodyear wranglers. I will probably buy these tires again!

Digging up an old thread here. I have since replaced the Continentals at 59xxx miles do to cupping. Rotated every 8k or so. I think it has to do with the crappy road I live on. They recently lowered the speed limit on it because they aren't going to fix it. I put on Nexen Roadian 225 65 17s and so far they ride nice. Searching the net has revealed that the continentals have had issues with cupping.

Ok sounded like you meant 59K in a year. 31K is still a butt load of miles for a year.

It is a lot of seat time. One ( four day ) weekend last summer I went from southern Iowa to Kansas City and then on up to Minneapolis and back to southern Iowa.
