New Off-road video!

My compass changed the tires with 235/60r18 and the power is loss 7% so I was failure.

The orginal compass 2011 without change tires successfully went to the top.

wow do you think the bigger tires caused you to fail due to the power loss or due to the over-sensitivity off the traction control braking system causing the spinning tires (probably all 4) to stop spinning (which would help it regain traction but caused you to stop in your case)?

The bigger tires lost power is true. But just like you said, the TCS maybe was the big trouble, when I jamed the engine RPM never go over 2000.

I have found this problem about 4 times already. Maybe next time I should take the ABS pump fuse out and test it.

The tread design could have played a major factor too. Was the ESP on or off?

By the way, I have a confuse about the Jeep AWD structure.

Look at the pict:

So if the left front side slips, there is no power to the rear transaxle.

And for intersecting axle testing with left front and rear right tire slipping, the right rear tire should not turning, but I found the video, the right rear tire turn very fast.

We are discussing a similar issue in this thread: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f98/b...ntial-1364869/

All AWD Compass' have a Partial Off and a Full Off, your owners manual should cover that. The Sensor on the rear end is the ECC Module but there is also an AWD module located in the left front fender. either one or both may not be operating correctly or the wiring connecting them may be faulty. That could also affect your ESP on/off. The left to right power balance is done threw the braking system, not threw the ESP.

As I know, the TCS will control the ABS to provide the brakes.

For my confuse is what happens at this kind of test:

Especially the right rear tire, should it turn around or not?

Someone else had this same question but while in snow. Sorry I'm forgetting what the out come was. I'll try and find the thread later but you maybe able to find it first by using the advanced search for 'snow' or 'traction' or 'slipping' in the Compass/Patriot section.
