New Compass Owner

Saturday I was at the dealership and I bought a new compass. It is coming from dallas, and I know the basics of the car that I wanted but I wanted to know the extras, is there anyway of knowing what might be included by the VIN number or anything like that? Also I wanted a 5speed but had to get auto (well their CVT or whatever its called) to get the color I wanted now. also anything I should be looking out for any advice for this new owner?

The VIN number doesn't tell you much that you don't already know. Did you get the window sticker with yours? If no, the dealer may have kept it and you can ask them for it. You may also go on line at and look at your dealers inventory and the window sticker may still show in their inventory for the next few days. Down load a copy of it to your computer.

Other than reading the info in this forum about the only up front advice that I want to add about the CVT is don't be afraid to give it the RPM's to work with.

Other than that Congrats and to the forum.
