New Compass owner

Hey everybody. Last week I bought black Compass, 2wd sport. Only extras are a sunroof and 6-disc/sirius radio. This is the first car that i'm actually paying for myself (im 18 and i've driven around my mom's grand prix and then G6 the past 2 years). So far i love it. Its a little slow, but i guess i wont be getting any speeding tickets soon. I'm looking forward to posting on the forums.

Congratulations .

A little slow off the line but the speed and cornering may surprise you once your rolling, still fast enough to get tickets

Speed is highly overrated. Besides, compared to my Vibe I feel like I'm now driving a Formula 1 racer...

Chrome Grills

Those Chrome Grills on black look pretty sharp. Where did you get them and were they hard to put on?

Nice
Mine is also black. I love it. It's a hard color to keep clean, but hey...it's a Jeep right? It should be dirty

Where did you get the chrome grills?

I picked up a 20 foot roll of interior/exterior chrome molding at Autozone for $11.99. The trim is a 1/4" and uses 3M adhesive. All I had to do was cut each strip and apply them. Took about 20 minutes to do. I ended up using the entire 20 foot roll with about 10" leftover. I've put on about 500 miles with them on and took a 4 hour drive in the rain back to school and they're still staying on pretty strongly.

Pretty solid mod for only $11.99

Thanks! They certainly don't have that "economy" look to them at all! Way to go.
