My CRD Patriot with Stu's 2" coil lift

Just completed my install.

It ended up being about a 1.5" lift, but I assume the springs will need to seat when I take it for a drive. Definately makes the patriot look better.

before

after

rear spring shot

Measurement from the lowest point on the patriot. (tape housing is 3" exactly)

Before 8.5"

after 10"

Nice job! How easy were they and do you have a link where to get them?

The install was definately more of and advance, to expert level. It can be very dangerous since you have to compress the springs to take them off/put them on the struts.

It took me about 5 hours to complete. I've done this sort of thing before tho. Just never with lift springs

Here is the thread with the information on the springs.

Looks good Scott I think a trip to Badlands is in order again this spring or summer. I'll be taking two vehicles when I go next time.

did you use the stock dampeners or upgrade them as well?

and did you get them thru a local vendor?

Just swaped the springs. Everything else is stock. It actually rides better now than it did before.

I ordered them straight from Australia. International shipping was a bit high, but I wanted to try a real spring lift instead of the RRO spacers.

For those wondering, here are my overall measurements.

Before

Front wheels were both at 17.75" from the center of the hub, to the fender.
Rears were sagging a little at 17.6" from the hub, to the chasis.

After
Fronts are at 19.5" from the hub to the fender.
Rears are at 19.75" from the hub to the chasis.

I have the CVT so my front is a little heavier than the CRD editions that these were designed for. Thats why it is not a full 2" in the front.

Just a heads up. JF doesn't allow group buys. You'd need to take that off line. Sorry, it's policy, not my call.

I forgot to mention one point.

For a long time, the MK's have been limited to 29.5" tires due to the extended guard piece on the front struts spring perch.

These new springs will allow for the removal of that extended piece of spring perch. Tire size is still limited by the wheel wells, but you can now run 30" or possibly larger.

If you are interested, you should follow the link I posted, and e-mail Stu directly.
