MP3 car stereo

While I love the sound system in my Compass, I would really like to have a built in MP3 player with a hard drive. Can anyone recommend a model/brand that sounds great and give you the capacity to store (maybe 10 GB), sort and select play lists?

What I am looking for is a car stereo with a built-in hard drive...but if that is too expensive, I may have to settle for the iPOD integration deal.

you can put a Chrysler MyGIG system in for about $1000-1200 - that's got a 20 or 30 gig hard drive

its almost a plug n play

I was fortunate enough to get the 6 speaker Boston Acoustic's stereo with 6 CD changer and Sirius radio. However, there is NO MP3 jack on this radio, which is ridiculous. I have tried the IPOD FM transmitter, but the sound quality is not great. Since my Ipod is only 4GB anyway, it seems that if I am going to change the stereo, I might as well get one that I can "build in" my music. If I have to spend 1000 bucks, however, I will have to go to plan B (undecided what plan B is at this point!)

Dump the 6 disc changer and go down to the single disc unit - it has the AUX jack in the front - but it doesn't have RDS so you won't be able to see what you're listening to on Sirius.

and it won't play mp3 discs.

This is one of the nicest and most functional interfaces for the RAQ system. It's hard wired and not the FM integration so it sounds better. Just one of many on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...4506.m20.l1116
