While I love the sound system in my Compass, I would really like to have a built in MP3 player with a hard drive. Can anyone recommend a model/brand that sounds great and give you the capacity to store (maybe 10 GB), sort and select play lists?
my head unit works with ipods, SD cards, and it has a usb port for usb memory sticks for mp3 playback.
11 Mineral Gray Metallic Compass 2.4L, 4x4, Auto Mods/Addons:
Pioneer AVIC-X910BT Radio + Jensen JCAM1 Rearview Backup Cam, K&N 63-1567 Performance Intake , Magnaflow Exhaust Part #16777 (Yes it will fit on a 4x4 2011 Compass), Mopar Chrome Fuel Door, Cargo Area Security Cover, Husky floor mats, Mopar Front & Rear Molded Splash Guards
I was fortunate enough to get the 6 speaker Boston Acoustic's stereo with 6 CD changer and Sirius radio. However, there is NO MP3 jack on this radio, which is ridiculous. I have tried the IPOD FM transmitter, but the sound quality is not great. Since my Ipod is only 4GB anyway, it seems that if I am going to change the stereo, I might as well get one that I can "build in" my music. If I have to spend 1000 bucks, however, I will have to go to plan B (undecided what plan B is at this point!)
