MIL lit yesterday :(

So I get in my Compass and notice my Malfuntion Indicator Lamp is lit (the orange transmission looking light)

is there a way to cycle the keys or something to check to see what code was set? I know I could do that with my Check Engine Light on my Neon.

shut all your doors
turn key to the on position, then off (not to the point where your key will come out)
repeat a couple times and it should do a check
took even the dealer a couple tries before this worked

same way as the neon! I had one as well...so you just do it 3 times the same way and it'll work!

Run the check anyways. The light may not be lit but the code should still be in the computer. Chances are, it WILL come back more often than not.
