MBRP makes nice stuff, very nice. Excellent craftsmanship, nice sound. I've run their stuff on other vehicles in the past.

I believe the ebay seller has it wrong, and the tubing is 2.25 or 2.5". Here's another dealer's description:2007 Jeep Compass MBRP Exhaust System, MBRP Diesel Exhaust

MBRP Exhaust update: bought one on Ebay about three weeks ago, after reading positive feedback on Patriot forum. Got delivered in timely fashion -a week or so from Ontario to NorCal- looks good, but: three of the four included clamps are the wrong size (2.5" instead of 2.25"). No big deal- call the company, enjoy the Canadian accent, everybody very friendly: "We'll send you the right size and and email w/ tracking #". Three days or so later: no email. Call again, same friendly Canadian person "Don't know what happened, let me check..yes they'll be on the way." Three days later: email w/ tracking #, after five days small package arrives: three new clamps. Tadah! All three wrong size again (2.5") despite correctly written order form (2.25 x 3) and correctly labeled plastic baggies (2.5). Next call. Canadian accent seems less charming. "No problem, this time I'll check the order personally..yes, will send tracking #". Three days later: No email (Big Surprise). New call (this morning): "Let me check..can't find it in the system...I'll call you later w/ info and shipping confirmation.
Tonight: you guessed it- no call/ no email.
Suddenly the Magnaflow seems rather appealing despite the extra $ 100-150.

Thank you so much. I talked to them this morning, and they were already aware of my post -thanks to you, no doubt. They were of course very apologetic, and at this point I have a new tracking #, and am waiting for the new clamps to arrive next week.
I'm not taking any bets about the size, however.
