Limited vs Sport

I have the Rallye Sport Compass...at the time I ordered this one,the local dealer only had one Limited, a 2007 model that he was selling as used. Can someone tell me the difference between the Sport and the Limited- on the surface, the side/door trim is the only thing that jumps out at me.

Check out this page on Jeep's website: http://www.jeep.com/vehsuite/Vehicle...s&tab=Standard

You can select various trim levels and compare 'em.

Apperance only

I guess I was think from an exterior glance only. Short of the side trim and different wheels/tires, what are the differences you would notice as one drives by?

Well with the Rallye Package - you lose the silver side trims and the front and rear silver trims of the Limited anyway because of the body kit and wheels. Otherwise from the exterior - the limited has a badge on the rear passenger side while the sport doesnt and of course the Rallye lights on the front bumper.

My Rallye Sport seems to be fully loaded and only missing the leather seats, the soft tonneu cover, and the rear power point over the limited from what I can tell.

Side trim

So the side trim is not necessarily a Limited vs Sport thing? I was under the impression that if it had trim on the side, it was a limited. I really like the look of my Rallye Sport, but wouldn't mind adding the side trim....

The side trim is indictive normally of the difference between the Sport and Limited

but I don't think the Rallye Limited came with the side trim

This is what the Rallye gets in either Sport or Limited.

The Rallye Group consists of: Unique 18" Black Painted Aluminum wheels - Driving Lamps (note: these are in addition to standard fog lights) - Rear Spoiler - Bright Exhaust Tip - Rallye Badge - Body Kit: consisting of front and rear fascia appliques, side sill lower panels , door lower appliques and lower honey-comb front fascia grille.

Package Includes
Body Color Kit by MOPAR
Driving Lamps
"Rallye" Badge
Trunklid Spoiler
Bright Exhaust Tip
Rear Stabilizer Bar
P215/55R18 Black Side Wall AS Performance Tires
18" x 7.0" Rallye Aluminum Wheels

It looks like the Sport v. Rallye v. Limited for outward appearance would be the Limited badge, bright side moldings and the bright sections on the front and rear fascia of the Limited.

The other differences would be interior and electronic goodies.

Right - but I think if you got a Rallye Limited - you lost the bright side moldings, and the bright front and rear center sections too so the difference exteriorly between a Rallye Sport and a Rallye Limited - would be the limited badge on the rear - I think

Versus the difference between a Compass Sport and a Compass Limited (both non-Rallye) which has already been noted

there's also a difference in appearance between 'Sports'....the 26D Pkg that i have has a black 'textured' tailgate handle where as the 26E Pkg Sport has a PAINTED tailgate handle (same as the Limited)

just a slight difference, but allows you to tell from the OUTSIDE if the Sport you're behind has Power Windows or not, for instance.

just thought you might like to know.......

I believe you guys are right and I think we're on the same page, it's just trying to explain it isn't easy. I haven't seen one in person yet but these special Rallye pieces replace Sport and Limited appearance items: "front and rear fascia appliques, side sill lower panels , door lower appliques and lower honey-comb front fascia grille" and of course the Rallye lights.

I don't see why not. The doors are all the same.

I can tell you that the rallye body effects kit is nothing more than the front overlay, rear overlay, and side effects on the body of the door. It doesnt include lights or the spoiler.....So basically if you had a limited the front bumper would be cut/stripped to look like what mine does (check my rallye bumper post) to be able to fit the from overlay. The back probably has a similar process. The spoiler you can buy online separate and it doesnt specify sport or limited.

'07 Compass -> I apologize to the next owner.
