Lifted Jeep Patriot.... sweet

This is starting to look really nice...

Built by Chrysler Tech Center Vehicle Build Shops, the SEMA Show Patriot features a custom roof rack with auxiliary lights and a custom steel bumper which, according to Jeep, is designed to protect the front end while allowing for as much tire exposure as possible. Talking about rubber, this Partiot gets 31" BFG Mud Terrain tires on 16'' Jeep Moab rims supplied by Prime Wheel which actually look quite good on it. Finally, there's a custom suspension which provides over 11'' of ground clearance....

Honestly, if I swapped in some solid axles, I wouldn't be unsatisfied with a Patriot.

It would need a bigger engine as well.

the good ol I6 would do the trick.

I always get a kick out of these attitudes.

The "real thing" like coke with COKE in it?

Maybe there is a reason they wouldn't bring back something, because uhhh, it wasn't all that and a bag of chips to begin with?

I thought my XJ was rugged, and it was a decent vehicle, but for the 90% of owners that aren't gonna be riding trails on a regular basis I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Patriot was a better all around vehicle for most owners.

Yeah, it may not have the towing or torque of the XJ.

Yeah, it may not be as easily adapted to extreme trails.

But I betcha it lasts as long, is as comfortable and more capable on-road, gets better gas mileage and is still trailable.

So what's the "real" deal anyway?

It looks like a mix of a Nissan Xtera, the ***** Jeep Liberty, and a curvish front end of a XJ...i think it needs to make up its mind on which car it is...im sticking with my 2001 XJ

That's kinda like what the patriot/compass is. It's helping the TJ/JK/XJ. It's the support. It will never be an SAS or recon soldier because its not meant to be. It's the support for DC so that it can still make the Wrangler.

You're preaching to the choir my friend, I was perfectly willing to buy a Compass to fill the uhhh, Logisitics roll.
