Lifetime Powertrain Warranty Inspection

I received a notification card in the mail with a free inspection coupon. I have a dealer appointment scheduled on Monday 8/20. They said it would take about an hour but, admittedly, they've never done one yet.

Anyone been through this process? What should I expect?

Thanks.

The inspection consists of checking all powertrain fluid levels, inspecting for powertrain fluid leaks, physical damage, and scan for codes. you get a pass/fail score.

Pass/fail as far as keeping my warranty valid? Thanks for the response.

I remember back when I bought the vehicle thinking about this day and what kind of suprises lurked in the fine print. It should be interesting.

yes, pass or fail as to whether it passes the powertrain inspection or not. if they find things that will make the powertrain warranty void, you must fix them or your lifetime powertrain warranty goes bye-bye.

Well, it took about 25 minutes and I passed. Good for another 5 years!

all my dealer did was scan for codes and a quick visual with hood open no checks of anything else, no dirty hands at all
