Jeep Tent for Compass

I was wondering if anyone here bought the Tent from Jeep that attatches to the compass. I want to know if you like it and how nice does it fit. I want to put one on my Patriot since they are basically the same. thanks

The Jeep tent is a universal for all Jeeps, part # 82209878, and Ds4x4 has some favorable comments about the Jeep tent here in post #6:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f68/tent-choice-381239/

For those of you that are new to the Forum or just haven't wandered around very much on the Home page, you may want to go take a look around out there. Lots of interesting stuff on camping, boating, fishing and, of course, wheeling.

I'm still trying to configure the set up that I want to go with. A small boat is one of my requirements, just something to get off shore in so that I can fish towards the bank. Even something the size of one of the square Coleman plastic dingys would do and I could put it on top of a small tent trailer, or go with a tent and a 12' aluminum boat. The Jeep tent would be nice for the last set up, I'd be up off of the ground.

there are two jeep tents. Both are universal fit.
Ones a larger red 2 room, and the other is a smaller blue and white one room.

I bought the blue and white one, on test fits, it fits well on the cherokee, good news for you since the dimensions of the two are close.

Havent actually taken it camping though, ordered it a week and a half before the camping trip I wanted to take it on... but it arrived late... arrived the day we got back...

Which one were you looking at?

The 82209878 is the 10x10. Couldn't find a # for the 2 room red.

since the caliber is the same general size of the cherokee, i'd wager they fit.

They are listed to be compatible with hardtop wranglers

what exactly is the point of having your tent attached to your car? Is it about not having to unpack luggage from the car?-
