jeep Patriot H.I.D problem

hey guys, im new here so go easy on me haha.

i recently got a 2007 jeep patriot and bought H.I.D's for it.

now they work, but after driving for 15 minutes they turn off for a second and turn right back on. i have a relay harness installed too, and a buddy of mine said i need a resistor ?? im not so car techy but i get the jist of most of it. is this a common problem with HID kits? i have seen like 4 or 5 drive by recently with HID kits (not sylvannia bulbs). im hoping its a real quick fix, as im about to embark a 12 hour drive to the kootenays.

thanks!

marco

Mine does the same thing. I think you can order a module for like 20 bucks to fix it, I hope so...!

I also need to figure out how to wire to my high beam for a trigger.

If you guys, or anyone, figure out a good way to wire up the HID's please let us know! It's just not in my realm of expertise and I haven't seen a conclusive answer yet that would solve the problems that I've seen.

As far as I know, these units im talking about work. they add resistance to the system so the jeep does not see a missing bulb and test the electrical.

HIDs are not a good idea for these cars anyway. the housings are not designed for them. you're doing more harm then good.
