Thanks all who could make it tonight. I think that we got some of our answers and opened up some areas for more thought. It was the first time with the Engineers on the MK and I think that we had a pretty good showing.

Jeep Compass and Patriot...what's to like!?!?

They did a nice job. It was definitely interesting!

I completely forgot to ask them which Compass/Patriot engine/tranny/drivetrain combo was the fastest though!

Lookin' to buy a Jeep this Summer! ;)

wasnt able to join today just had to enjoy the 70 degree weather in kodiak, but i was not impressed with alot of their answers. we know the specs of the vehicles and it seemed people wanted to know the limitations of certain items and never got a correct response. it was like reading a transcript of a political debate where all u saw was the run a round.

Quickest off the line: 2.4 with a 5speed and I'll guess 2WD but since the AWD in on demand it could be a toss up.

Fastest top end: 2.4 with a CVT.

But remember they have to cya with Jeep and not entice anybody to void a warranty. Just because they said stuff like "they can't recommend" etc doesn't mean they wouldn't do it themselves. The same as if I did do a 225 HP and it worked I would never be able to tell you how long it would last until it broke.

Understandable, but the ? regarding the cv axle angle didnt fall into any of their "future" or "cant recommend" areas. i read it as asking what the max angle was if it was stock. maybe it was just my interpretation of the ? asked.
