I Can Tow A Pop Camper !!!

Picked up my 1586lb popup tent trailer, the Compass hauled it no problems at all. You could notice the extra weight but the vehicle handled like a dream up and down hills and stopping and taking off all was well. Its about 75kms from where I bought the trailer to my place. I did some secondary road driving and some freeway driving. The only difference was I had to gear down to fourth up some of the big hills but that is nothing. So if anyone has thought about towing something with there Compass go for it as long as you have the trailer tow prep kit installed. I did it all myself and used a class 3 hitch.

Wes

Posted a picture on photbucket will post more again this weekend. Drove 250km each way up some really big hills with no power issues, no overheating, just under halfway on the gauge. Fuel consumption was a little higher. Usually get 525km per tank, and went down to about 500km per tank. Not too bad at all.
Going a little further next week end.
