get this.
We have a 2008 dodge pickup in the fleet. It had a CEL light due to something idiotic...
Dealer reset the TIPM to erase the code after they fixed the issue.
Apparently, somehow, the TIPM was reset incorrectly, and it decided the truck had a manual transmission, rather then automatic... so when the body control module tried to tell the integrated power module that the transmission shifted into reverse, the integrated power module decided to disregard the information, and not activate the reverse lights.

I thought they were all set by the VIN? Computer glitch? Nah, never happen, Windows ALWAYS works just fine...right! There is no such thing as any computer being completely fail safe. When they work right, they are wonderful, no doubts about that.

I have a 2007 Compass Limited with HID 55W Bi-Xenon conversion on headlights.
Used a simple kit with relay harness. Connected kit to left-side H4 socket.
Had to put a H4-terminator on the unused right H4 socket, else I had the "blinking problem" as above.

Connected kit directly to battery so I also had to to add a switching relay befor the harness to switch off hid power when starting engine. You can trigger that relay with almost anything in the car that is automaticaly turned off when egnite like stereo or power outlet.

Do you have a manufacturer / part # for that kit or a wiring diagram? I believe many would be interested in some more details.
