Heated side mirrors?

Is there a final word on the availability of heated side mirrors on the Compass? I thought I understood that the Compass, but not the Caliber or Patriot, could be had with heated side mirrors but I do not see that feature on the Jeep website.

I saw it listed previously but not now. I wonder what's up with that? I'm taking a run in to the dealers this weekend and I'll see if I can get some more info, if available.

Thanks, Gramps. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have seen that.

The reason I care is that I'd like a Caliber or Compass or Patriot as, among other things, my go-in-the-snow vehicle and heated mirrors are a real good thing in a snowstorm. I'd ask at the local dealership but they probably don't know any more than I do.

I guess I could use my hand for the left-side mirror and a long snow brush for that right-side mirror.

You could use your hand and the long snow brush BUT with the snow that collects on the side windows when you go to roll them down that snow would fall inside, get on the switches, blow around the inside, yada, yada... NO FUN!!

I seems that the floor mats come and go on the standard equipment list with no rhyme or reason too.

You can get the Euro ones... They get heated mirrors and such, that's my only option for the Caliber (also a bonus for me is folding mirrors...) and I've got to go to a dealer and get them to order it specially and the plug is not the same as the ones we have on ours...

Stopped at the local Everything Chrysler dealer and brought up the heated mirror issue. Neither the young salesman nor the manager had any idea of what I was talking about. The salesman checked his puter and we looked at window stickers and there was naught to be found about heated mirrors for the Compass. Maybe next year.

Thanks, Gramps.

That they'd intended to offer heated side mirrors but couldn't sounds right.

Just made me think

Hello, first time posting, but would like to say Thank You for all the info I have gathered on here so far by reading through y'alls posts.
I bought my Compass in late January. On the window sticker it says heated side mirrors, yet I can find nothing in the owners manual about them, and there is nothing that I can find that turns them on. Do you think it just comes on when I turn on the defrost, or what? While it is not a must, I would like to think if they included that in the price then I should be getting it. Being down south, I do not get the snows issues, but do get a lot of frost on the mirrors. While I used defrost alot, I could not tell if the mirrors were thawing on their own, or if they had any help.
Any clues would be nice.

If you really do have the Heated Side Mirrors and that isn't just a misprint on your window sticker, I think that they would turn on with the rear window defroster. I'm just guessing.

Thanks

Thanks Gramps!

I am going to ask tomorrow. I am going to get the tow-haul package put on tomorrow. I would do it myself, but not the most handy when it comes to mechanical stuff. Besides, messing with the cooler, would prefer they have the liability, not me.

The cooler looks easy enough, I just bought one through Wyckoff Chrysler, one of our Vendors. I'll do a write up on the install hopefully by the end of the month, pictures, of course. It comes with some very good instructions. If you can change your oil and radiator hoses you can do the oil cooler. More on that later.

Oh, to you and all of the other 's.
