Nope. Nothing in the front suspension or steering and I don't remember seeing any anyplace else either. I'm hoping that some of the aftermarket manufactures, such as Moog, will have them when I replace them. Permanent lube? Yeah, right! But the majority of EOM stuff is like that.

Thanks again . ...P.S. my daughter loves her compass she claims to be getting 32 mpg with it driving 34 miles round trip every day you can't beat that and 4wd too !

2011 Jeep Compass 40k miles

I am experiencing a loud clunking noise with hard right or left turns or over speed bumps. The noise make my jeep sound like a clunker!! I am also experiencing noise while in drive, then i put my feet on the brakes there is a rumbling noise but i cant tell if its coming from the muffler or the engine?
Anyone else experiencing these problems?

I'm betting anti roll bar bushes. I'm on my third set with only 25000 km on the clock. Dealer will change them under warranty but will just replace them with more bad stock. My dealer insists he can't upgrade them as its still under warranty. You can get polyurethane bushes but I believe there three or four times the price. .

This Jeep has been a huge disappointment. It looks good....but it's embarrassing when I turn left or right I hear the clunking! And when I go over speed bumps the front end sounds like the bottom is about to drop out! It's a 2011. I can't imagine 10 yrs down the road!

Tell me about it. Mine is a 2012 and to be honest i can't wait to get rid of it. Nothing but a disappointed since the day I picked it up. It has been back to the dealer 5 times with various issues mainly around the suspension and just clunking noises in general. At the moment I have a very annoying rattle in the boot area. Took it back to the dealer and he said he couldn't find anything wrong. He reckoned the problem was it had too many plastic panels and it was bound to rattle. !!!!!!! Thank god the new land rover discovery sport is almost upon us and my crappy jeep compass will be nothing but a bad memory
