GPS/Premium Sound System - ipod read?

We're thinking of buying a Patriot. Is the Premium radio ipod ready? Can I just plug my ipod into the aux jack with no issues?

well, I don't know about the Patriot, but the NOT with the Compass- I have the 6 CD/Sirius radio in my Compass and one of my only real dissapointments is that the radio has no MP3 jack! I got over it, however...

There is the base radio (REF) that has an IPOD (AUX) connection, a single CD player (not MP3 compatible).

There is the RAQ that does NOT have an IPOD connection but the 6 CD changer does play MP3 recorded discs.

Last is the REC radio that is the NAV unit, it also does NOT have an IPOD connection but its 6 CD changer is also MP3 compatible.

Then there is the 9 speaker BA Premium sound system that can be added separately to ANY of these radios.

I hope that helps.

Not to get off the topic of IPOD jacks, but I would recommend the 9 speaker BA system..I have this and the sound is sensational!

There is also the RAK stereo- 6 CD, MP3, RDS, Cassette, no aux input. I have mostly seen these on flea-bay that have been taken out of a Chrysler 300.
