Ignore if not interested.

NUMBER: 18-017-12
GROUP: Vehicle Performance
DATE: June 01, 2012

Flash: Long Crank Times When Temperatures Between 0 Degrees F and 50 Degrees F
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.
2011 - 2012 (MK) Compass /Patriot
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicle equipped with a 2.0L engine (sales code ECN) and a automatic transmission (sales code DAW or DAV) built before May 17, 2012 (MDH 0517XX).
The customer may experience a long crank time when temperatures are between 0 F (-17 C) and 50 F (10 C) after and 8 hour soak time.
In order to correct this condition the PCM calibration has been changed to add cranking spark and reduce the start fueling.
Updating the software will correct the conditions listed above.
