Fuel consumption 2009 Compass

Please don't laugh at me (I already feel stupid enough) but I've either got a real good or a REAL bad vehicle. I don't think my math is that bad so would you please help me out.

I'm in Canada and might be doing things wrongly.

41 Lt. 299 Km all city driving

What's my mileage???

Thanks guys - much appreciated.
Did you convert the K to miles and then a straight divide 41L?
Did you do a conversion of the L to gallons?

Thanks for the fast replies, I really appreciate it.

Convert both. 299 KM is 185.78 miles. 41 Liters is 10.83 gallons.

Thanks guys.

So, according to http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ at 17.x mpg I'm doing OK. And according to http://www.torquecars.com/tools/uk-mpg-calculator.php at 20.x mpg doing even better.
I think what was happening is that I was calculating Km/L which at 7.x really looked bad.

I appreciate your assistance and for not laughing at me but as the saying goes "A fool wonders and a wise man asks." Perhaps it should be changed to "A fool askes the wise MEN at jeepforum.com"
