Front licence plate holder?

I happen to be cleaning up my place and came across the front licence plate holder for my may she rest in peace 99 Limted WJ. Still in the orginal parts bag and everything. Part number 55155750AB but on the piece of paper it says AA

Since I cant imagine them making 20 differnt version of the same generic item does anyone know if it will fit the compass or am i just better off finding some one with an WJ to give it to?

There is no front plate holder on the MK (Domestic anyway) It's screwed directly into the fascia. So yup, it'll work. LOL.

So I have to ask the question what does jeep do about states like NY where they require front and back licence plates. Not real keen on putting holes on my I still have 68 more payments lol.

WI requires a front plate too. The dealers just use self tapping screws. This was discussed awhile back and the consensus was that nobody else like it either but that just the way it is.

The last generation of Jeep Libertys had license plate covers that fit the front end of a Patriot perfectly. They might be worth looking into.

Most Canadian provinces require plates on the front as well as the back. A lot of front bumpers of all makes and models have holes drilled into them. But it's just becomes the look of the car, like the rear plate, or side mirrors.

Another Florida boy here. I found that if one looks REAL close to the center of the front bumper cover there are two almost microscopic indents that tell you where to drill the holes for a tag.

that WJ one just screws into the bumper anyway.

i ended up removing and selling mine, since NM doesnt require a front plate... ended up with holes in the bumper, that i could care less about
