Extreme heat from A/C Unit/Radio Area

Has anyone else had a problem with the dashboard area where your radio and A/C is located, becoming extremely hot to the touch? I understand some heat generating while the Jeep is in use, however, mine is almost too hot to touch and I fear that it may start an internal fire. I'm taking mine to get checked out Monday. I'll post when I know more about the situation.

I've not seen any postings on anything like that! Does the air come out of the vents OK with the fan on? Maybe a misaligned section of duct work? Thanks for sharing that with us and keep us updated on that, please.

Yes, the air blows fine whether it be the heat or cold air but, for example, say you are going to adjust the temp by turning the knob. When you touch the knob it is outrageously hot to the touch! I'm scared to death that my first brand new vehicle is going to catch fire!! It doesn't matter if the heat or air is running on high or low, it gets hot. Obviously, the source of heat is coming from behind the panel but it's the entire panel that is getting hot. Anyway, I plan to take it in to find out why it is doing this. Like I said, I will post as soon as I know something.

If it's "outrageously hot to the touch", this is not normal.
