Euro models - which CRD engine?

hello!!

i was reading about de VW engines, and there are 3 versions of the 2.0 tdi 140hp engine:

2.0 TDI PD, 47-103kW 8 valves (PD = Pump duse)

2.0 TDI PD, 103-125kW 16 valves

2.0 TDI CR, 81-132kW 16 valves (CR = Common Rail)

i know that my 2008 patriot has 103kw, doesn't have DPF and... which engine version?

engine problems

Hi there!!

This week, my Patriot started to misfire and gets "lumpy" in cruise speed's, and in acceleration, but only sometimes! When it does, it takes about 0,5 seconds, and more common in 5th or 6th gear... i'm thinking... hmmm maybe fuel injection problems?

Another thing, when it starts(only) in the morning, makes a lot of smoke...

Warranty is over... Any suggestions?
where can i see the engine code?

I really wish they'd let us have diesel engines in the US. My gas V6 grand is lucky to get 15mpg

Hi
You need to get the fuel pressure checked. Has the fuel filter been changed? The filters from factory some were incorrectly routed so have a look at the arrows on the filter make sure the arrows on the filter point the correct way the fuel should flow.

hi!

Didnt check the fuel filter yet, i'll take a look tomorrow

He has 23.000 miles, and made the Jeep Service at 18.500miles. They changed the oil, air and pollen filter, but no fuel filter. At the 9500 miles service didn't changed the fuel filter either, so it's the same one since 0 miles!

At how many miles is suposed to change the fuel filter in the CRD engine?

Hopefully is just the filter because if it's the injection system... its going to be bad $$$$$

Just 1 thing i dont understand.... why this "lumpy" thing only happens sometimes?

Hi
The fuel filter is at 27 miles in the UK (3rd service) service every 9.000 miles. Lumpy could be because the fuel filter is blocked due to incorrect routing of the pipes.
