Gramps and Jason31....I've been thinking of hitting up my dealer to do this TSB. After reading what you've said I will have this done before winter sets in. I always figured it was just me being lazy while driving our Compass.

Just production date specific.

echocat22,

If you look at post #10 in this thread you can find a link to the site with the TSB so you can read it or print it..... I made sure my description of the problem matched the TSB description closely when I took my Compass in.

Same here! I think that you need to report it as a PROBLEM to some dealers, unfortunately.

Echocat, yes I have the K&N air intake installed.

To those whose dealer is being a gripe, tell them this -- My Compass accelerates very poorly when the A/C is on, and I think TSB 18-031-07 might fix it.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't do any time trials on the above 50 area. I was mostly interested in highway/freeway entry/merging and getting across a wide 4 way stop that I do twice a day. I am changing my driving style again, assimilating to the "new" way that it drives.

Since I doubt Chrysler really changed much on the computer other than transmission behavior, I doubt that anything above 50 is slower. Its probably because above 50 it felt like it should have, just getting to 50 was horrid. (personal opinion =D)

Basically what I'm saying is its in your head. Its a matter of perception.

i have just checked the manufacturing date, i found it :P

3-07 and MDH032119

should i make this TSB change?

i think its a little difficult here in argentina, but i will fight for it.

to me happens that in a highway at 120 km/h y want to bypass a car and i push the accel to the bottom and it slowly accelerate.

pszemia,

This is for low end performance, 0-32KPH. I don't believe that you would see a change in performance at 120 KPH (75MPH). You're just running out of horsepower like the rest of us.

but should i push the dealer to make that upgrade?

by te way, the loss of hp at high speed is another software related or its just what it is?
