I just came back from a national chain (Mr. Lube) here in Canada, and they did not have any listings for which oil filter to use. They asked me to come back tomorrow after they find out.

I guess I could just go to my Jeep dealer, but it's far and I just hit 5041 Km's. I don't want to put more mileage on it before I change the oil. Although I did have 125 Km's on it when I got it, I wonder if the dealer changed the oil on delivery?

Do you guys think I can drive it another +70k to the dealer?

43 miles? Sure! I've gone 100 miles over, stuff happens, see the John Lennon quote in my signature and also check the oil filter thread. I doubt if the dealer changed oil before they delivered it to you. While you're there, pick up 2 so that you have a spare.

I just did a full conversion with your readings and by the time you get back to the dealer you'll have 3151 miles (5111 Km) on it. Still, no big deal.

Your a/c compressor will continously run on your world engine, its a variable displacement compressor, so light on or not its running, light on just means its working harder. the dcx engineers found the vdc compressor to be better on fuel and get rid of the a/c power shock.

Got it done today at my Jeep dealership and had just about that exact mileage.
$37 including taxes and waste removal!! Cheaper than Mr. Lube!... I thought those guys claimed to be the cheapest oil change in town?

That's $31.31 US$ . Did you get an extra filter or will you just plan on going back to your dealer at those prices?

I'll go back to the dealer...they are cheaper. (I don't do my own oil changes - no garage - live in a condo)

3000 miles and then every 3000 after that. You may get away with more using synthetic oil, check with your dealer. It's actually 4828 Km, but rounded to 5000 Km. The Owners Manual also brakes in down to months, severe service, etc.

Best conversion site that I've found so far:

"he" meaning the Dealer? If so, and they are willing to back the warranty, then it sounds OK. Maybe some of the DC Techs out there can give some advice about that. I certainly heard that Mobile One can go that long between changes and this kind of thing MAY vary from dealer to dealer and their interpretation. I just don't know. I'm playing it safe and by the book on mine but I'm not saying that some other set up wouldn't work just as well as long as the warranty is covered. All that the Owners Manual says is "Recommended"

I would go with a change every 3000 if possible. Oil (even synthetic) is cheap compared to major engine work. My last auto had regular 3000 mile oil changes and never had a valve cover off in 175,000 miles.
