Did the 2011 model fix everything?

Hello all, I"m new to the forum and considering buying a 2011 Jeep Compass (2.4, Latitude, FDI, CVT). My main concern is the front suspension...I seem to constantly read about problems with the ball joints and/or control arms. However, it seems like all the posts I've seen with those problems are for 2007/2008 model years. I know they upgraded the suspension (among other things) in 2011...did they actually fix the ball joint issue, or is still alive, even to this day?

Thanks for any info.

still premature failure... of a lot of parts.. bearing, hubs, rear control arms, rear drive shaft , etc... etc.. etc.. I know I just went through it with a 2013 after a month or so of ownership, but wife wrote it off so I can only speak for what I had to deal with.. it had 70/80,000km's on it

Well that's....depressing. Thanks for the info though. I'll be sure to look through records to see if any of that stuff has been done or looks sketchy.
