CRD Patriot!

Hi everyone!

donīt know if this is the place to introduce myself...

i'm from europe (portugal), and i've a 2008 jeep patriot limited fd1, with an 2.0 crd engine (140hp /310nm)

anyone else with a diesel?

So far, so good! 29.000 km and only 1 problem... optima battery went dead with 1 year

i'll post somes pics later

Yes, this is a good place to start. We do have a few CRD folks on here but that engine is not available in North America.

However, we do have merlinTec from the UK to help out sometimes too. He's always close by in one of the other sections.

just remembered... 2 more "problems"!!

one rainy day , with the sunroof closed, the water came in somehow and with my luck, the "escape" holes for the water were filled with tree seeds... result = interior shower

the other... very hard to find tyres in the right legal measure... the allowed sizes here are: 215/60 r 17 (the one i have) or 215/55 r18: and only found the Pirelli Scorpion STR or the Yokohama Geolander! I bought the pirelli, because the Geolanders where to expensive!!!

1000km more, and it's time for the 30.000 service... it will take brakes too!
oh well... hope it doesn't make a hole in the wallet!!
