Crankshaft Position sensor - Compass

Can someone PLEASE tell me where the Crankshaft Position Sensor is located on a 2007 Compass 2.4L? I donít need any of those cheesy pics from the internet that show a black and white drawing, I found those but they don't help me. Here's the story; got a code for Crank sensor found what I believe to be the sensor, pulled it took it to dealership they don't have it and cannot get it. What he tried to give me is a different shape and takes a different plug. He just said I must have an oddball part (his words) and left me hanging. I went to every parts store in town and they all have the same part as the dealership. So did I pull the wrong sensor? The dealer didn't know that either. I pulled it from drivers side lower rear by transmission. It has a 3 wire plug. HELP!!!! It's my daughters vehicle and she's now driving mine causing me serious a hardship.
