....for only $11.00 (Suggested Retail Price) you TOO can have this shift knob on your later model Compass or Patriot CVT.

i've seen a number of people refer to this knob and just wondered HOW MUCH is it? well, not much....

Mopar Part Number is 5273590AB

are these knobs the same, because the Suggested Retail Price on 82210359AB is $51.00!

is the Accessory Kit worth $40 MORE? does it come with something other than the shift knob or maybe a different finish....like GOLD?

P.S. upon further review, i believe the 'Accessory Kit' is a billet style knob.....i 'believe'

The 82210359AB was advertised on eBay for while, maybe still is.

Description: Mopar billet aluminum Shift Knobs enhance your interior's appearance. This Shift Knob is a direct swap, installing easily.
Color: Aluminum
Notes: Includes hardware.

Billet stuff has never floated my boat but that's purely subjective. I laugh at the "Includes Hardware" There's none required. These just pull straight off and push back on, I think they are a "ball and detent" type of fit. About as easy to change out as using the cigarette lighter, only in reverse.

$11.00 for a Jeep logo shifter or $51 for a no name shifter? Don't figure.

I love the 6-speed chrome shift knob that comes with my MK CRD. Doesn't have the Jeep logo on it, but it is cool enough as it is!

That's inside a Caliber it would appear. Dunno why its so expensive. Do you guys get the same default knob with the CVT that we do?

My compass already had the shift knob mentioned in post #1 and #2. I thought it was just standard.
