Gear Stick Knob

I have a Patriot but find the chrome looking knob really plain so would like to change it with the compass knob which has jeep on it, does anyone know how to take them off?

Just pull firmly it should come right off.

Anybody have a part number for the Compass knob? That sounds like something I want to get.

The MK Parts book only lists one, 0527 3590AA. Best check with the dealer. This is the one used on my Compass with AutoStick.

thats the same one thats in our compass cvt (no auto stick). only option i have seen for a different knob is this http://www.jeepworld.com/accessories.../shiftknob.htm

I think the one with the Jeep Logo is only on the Compass. The plain one pictured in your link is more like what's on the Patriot.

i see. thats kinda dissapointing. our knob def looks better. i would want to switch it out also.

yea i thought i remember u posting that pic so i went back and found it. seems like its just the cap on the top thats different, or is it all one piece? wife has the compass today so i cant go outside and look.

Thanks Matt! $11 is cheap for a Jeep part . Also looks like you drop the leading "0" from the number in the parts book. That'll help in parts searches.

A guy on I know of put a pistol grip on his Caliber. I want something different for mine but am not sure what since I plan on removing my cvt in the next few years. You guys know of any interesting caliber ones?
