I am usually commuting during those hours..

Via proxy, could some one ask some or all of the following?:

Will they ever come out with a 4x4 2 seater Compass convertible. (I like the Wrangler but the concept Compass 2 seater "kicks ***".) Prefer bold colors and 6 speed manual. Better yet, off road diesel version?

Turbo Diesel in the US?

Any plans for composite materials to strengthen and reduce weight?

Different bumpers? (Something leaner in the front for the approach angle?)

Pre-outfit all of the cars for skid plates?

Corrosion protection?: Vehicles will rust as soon as the galvanized coating is damaged. Since I live in the salt belt, rust is a major issue and the MKs do not seem to have any type of rubberized coating to protect the chassis. It is not really practical to go underneath with touch up paint....

Top priority: Fuel Economy...

Turbo Diesel for North America?? (Are the VW rumors true? The 2.0t?)
Forced induction on the 4 Cylinder platforms? The Compass and Patriot desperately need more oomph than the NA 2.4L can put out.

Here's the link to the thread for all of it: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f144/jeep-fantasy-537523/

or a brief over view: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f98/q-retrospect-537609/

Sorry about the time zone thing. I deal with the UK all of the time and spaced it.

More opportunities to share your opinions

Thanks again for all the participation!

If you would like to share your ideas now that the thread is closed you may go to the following site: https://www.chryslerllc.com/en/chrys...motive_listens

As an FYI, when you access the survey using the URL contained in this post Chrysler LLC will know that you were referred to the survey from the 03.25.08 JeepForum.com Engineering Event. We’re not promising special treatment, and This fact doesn't give any more weight to what you have to say as an individual; however they will have a very good idea of who’s taking time to participate and where the traffic is coming from.

The difference is the Live Talk was with JEEP ENGINEERS who may or may not be involved with the specifics for the MK's. This link will take you to Chrysler LLC to have your opinions heard. The MK's are a crossover - 1/2 Dodge, who is enthusiastic about building the SRT; and Jeep that is off-roading. There needs to be a meeting of the minds, our minds, to tell Chrysler which way that WE want to go. I'm not going to let the way Live Talk went keep me from expressing my thoughts to Chrysler.
