Just FYI:
The predicted demographics for the Compass and Patriot have changed from the original 60%/40% split for the Compass going to the ladies to an actual 51/49. The Patriot had the same split going to the gents and as of the end of April gets a 57/43 split. The original age target was 20-40 for both and ends up with an average of 42 and 39 respectively. 61% of all Jeep buyers are male.

Is "not-trail-rated" Patriot (Patriot with FDI) with the same angles as Compass?

Not quite. The front fascia on the Compass makes for a more shallow approach angle. But you're right we should be comparing FD I versions of both and my Compass Limited FD I was 8.4" gc stock. The Limiteds do have different springs than the Sports possibly causing the extra height.

But what are the angles for Patriot FDI, do you know?
Compass'es angles are, as I understand from prevoius discussion:
21.1-degree approach angle,
32-degree departure angle,
21-degree breakover angle.
How much is Patriot FDI different?
PS. And what are your Compass's angles after lift?

I have all of the specs at home but managed to steal this from http://www.allpar.com/model/jeep/patriot.html
I was only able to do a crude measurement with the lift installed an it didn't seem that much different at the time. Comparing apples to apples it looks like the angle should have improved by at least 1.6 degrees on both ends. 22.7, 33.6, and an additional 2.4 on break over for 23.4. These are the changes between a standard Patriot and the Trail Rated version.
EDIT: We may get to use a 2.125 multiplier since the lift is 2 1/8" That would come out to 3.4 degrees on the front/rear or 24.5/35.4 and 5.1 increase on the break over or 26.1. That could be wishful thinking though.

So there are three methods to determine, how much better are these degrees on lifted Compass:
1) calculating it mathematically
2) searching from internet (pretty hopeless, I think, there aint many lifted Compasses out there )
3) taking two-three big pieces of carton and scissors,
and going to the garage and measuring it

I have a cheap angle gauge (the emphasis is on CHEAP!) that will get me down to 1 degree depending on how well you can see it. It's also tricky setting it up to read between the tires and the lowest part of the fascia, too.

To be honest, that is not so important, that you should go and measure it.
The bumpers are quite elastic, I've tested them against sand and snow ,
couple degrees in angles wouldn't save much, just postpone a bit these kind of tests
PS. Have you already got the skid plate, that you mentioned?

No not yet. I'm not even sure if we had the right numbers. I obtained a new set of numbers and I'm going to check on those as well. It's almost warm enough to start working on mine again.

UPDATE: The skid plates for the gas tanks are in and hopefully the Engine/Trans Skid plate will be here by Saturday and I'll pick all of them up.

I've linked your post in the MK's Off-Road thread. Thanks for the great shots!
