Compass pricing?

Hi! I am new here. I just went to the dealership to finalize everything today, and Thursday I will be taking home my new Compass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited.

Just wondering if anyone on here has bought a compass or received a dealer quote to see how I did on the pricing.

I am getting the limited, 4x4 CVT, sunroof, boston speakers, security group, driver convenience group, uconnect, sirius, and 6 disc BUT they're putting in the stock radio b/c I want the integrated ipod and not the aftermarket one you have to get with the 6-disc. I negotiated 200+ below invoice but with swapping the radio had to go up to 100 over invoice. Apparently they can't just swap the stereo bc it's linked to the VIN, so they have to buy a new one, and cant use the 6-disc on another vehicle.

Let me know what you think. thanks!!

Blondee,
Are you saying dealer invoice or the window sticker price? If it's dealer invoice, I'd say you did darn good. What I paid for mine may not be a fair comparison, it was one of the first shipments and they were trying to put some on the road.

Welcome to the forum!!

Thank you!

Dealer invoice...not sticker.

It's good to hear I did ok, of course that's what the dealer said but I'm so wary of car dealers!

Now I just have to wait these 4 long days til Thurs morning........

You can put the radio in another vehicle, it will just set internal trouble codes for mismatched VIN. The codes will be invisible to the driver of the vehicle. ALso the radio in another vehicle will function fine, and will update the current VIN with the vehicle it is in, it will also retain the original VIN of the vehicle it was originally installed.

Yup, decent price, I'd feel good enough about it.

When I was considering one my dealer (I've bought 2 Jeeps from him in the past) offered me Invoice minus Holdback, or basically $700 or so below invoice. I would have been just fine with that deal.

And he knows I'll be back again in a couple of years to buy something else anyway, even though we didn't go with the Compass this time.

Sounds like a good deal to me
I also didn't get the 6 CD changer because I wanted the AUX jack for my girlfriend's iPod. We tried it out last night and it was pretty sweet.

I got to use a greensheet on mine...he he he. Still wish they would've had a 4x4 Limited IN STOCK, but I'm happy as a clam w/ my 4x2 Limited. It's the Steel Blue.
