Compass fuel door

Anybody else have a fuel door that doesn't close flush with the body? Dealer told us they are all like that. I know there was a tsb on the 2007s, but my wife's is a 2011.

And next question, has anyone fixed it without removing the gas cap leash?

Yes I have this problem. The string\wire that holds the cap to the door..you have to play with it after you put the cap on to have it sit as flush as possible
