Change audio system and other parts.

Hi, i finally get my compass limited 4x4. i want to get somethings.

I have the basic radio (without plug). i think its the REF AM/FM CD player.

how much will it cost to change to an mp3 compatible? the 6disc-mp3 is 6disc on the same stereo, or need extra charger?

How much cost the 4x4 badge, (jeep Argentina) remove all of them (to down the prices, very bery bad )

how can i know if my car is equiped with TPMS?? tiyre presure monitro system?

Thanks,

Ariel

Congratulations!
You want the RAQ radio but it does not have an IPOD plug if you wanted that too it will need some adapters. You may also need the installation kit for it and the dealer may need to program it for you. I've seen these from online sellers for up to about $600 and as low on eBay as $1.50 (yea, be careful. Here's one link that I found.

The 4X4 emblem, again just search the Internet.

If you do not have the Drivers Convenience Group, you do not have the TPS. Also included in that group is the Auto Dimming mirror, Temperature and Compass display and the universal garage Door Opener.

I'm not sure if I understood your post correctly but if you want any mp3 compatible cd player, you can buy one for $100 to $200 from somewhere like crutchfield.com. If you want the factory 6 disc changer you can get it from mopar.com. They are authorized by Jeep.

If you go with one from crutchfield you can get one that plays mp3's and has an aux input on the front such as:

<<<Incorrect Information Removed>>>

Mopar.com may also have that emblem you want. I'm not sure though.

Not disputing what you say about the REF being able to play mp3 discs but there is no mention of it having that capability in the owners manual. If it does then I believe that information will be appreciated by many . Also I did not get into the aftermarkets only OEM.

More radio information with additional information from websurrfr and others:

I may be mistaken. I believe I played mp3's on mine before I had it replaced with a Pioneer unit but after thinking about it the CD's I played may have been burned as audio cd's, not mp3 cd's. I will check and verify.

edit

I apologize. My owner's manual clearly states that the REF unit does NOT play mp3's. My CD's must have been burned as normal audio CD's.

Hello everyone.... I am new to this forum and had a question about an aftermarket stereo system. I have a Patriot Limited and would like to put in a new head unit, speakers, amps, etc... I am having a hard time finding a wiring adaptor kit that will allow me to maintain my steering wheel audio controls. Has anyone been able to do this yet?

Any input would be much appreciated. Sorry if this topic has already been beaten to death in other threads, I browsed for a bit but did not find anything on this yet. Thanks again.
