Carr Light Wing for extra fog/driving lights on Jeep Compass

I was looking for the Grille Guard or even the Light Bar to add on a pair of driving lights, but could not find any (Dakar by Savage is too ugly, and the fit is questionable). I found this Carr Light Wing instead, check it out here:

Do you think the front bumper of the Compass could handle this?
How deep is the bumper in case we have to use longer bolts?

Perhaps Gramps could give an answer. I really did not want to drill holes in the fascia as in the Rallye, unless it is the only option. I am hoping the Carr Light Wing is the answer to that.

The front license plate is only held on with lag screws just run into the fascia. You can see in this pic how the front bumper is formed. You would need to actually run a drill bit into the bumper (they call it the reinforcement) and run longer lag screws to hold the weight of the lights.

Adding in my own opinion. Carr's design is for vehicles that have a structural bumper without padding or covers. The metal bumper on the cherokee would work for it.
I disagree with them saying any grand cherokee would work.

License plate covers on the grands, the liberties, the mk models, etc, use self tapping screws thru the plastic (and foam) of the bumper cover.

Also, I wouldnt be surprised if westin is soon to come out with the compass and patriot specific brackets for their safari bars soon.

They're universal fit bars in 3 sizes, with vehicle specific mounting brackets.

I'm going to get one for my WJ this week for mounting two lights.
