Brake Pad Life

Hey all, question.....what's everyone seeing for mileage on brake pads? My 2010 Pat has 83K on it on the original pads. Pretty impressive say I!

That's about when I changed the pads on ours. Still had about 4mm to go so they could have gone a little farther but I was ready to change em anyway. Easy job. Something to think about, if you run your pads too low depending on the caliper design sometimes the pistons can unseat from the bores making it impossible to compress the piston back in. Your only choice at that point is to buy new calipers or rebuild yourself. Probably not an issue for Jeeps but my neighbor & I spent 2 hours & bent a HD c-clamp trying to get his compressed. Eventually he had to pony up for new calipers. He ran his pads to death though, as close as it comes to metal on metal without hearing it.
