Bluetooth streaming audio/sound is driving me nuts

Hi all,

All of a sudden, my Bluetooth audio sound on my Patriot 2014 has been driving me nuts. For no apparent reason, it started sounding very awful. The bass sounds terrible; it sounds muffled. I have done everything I could think of to try to solve the issue, but nothing seems to work. By the way, playing the same audio via the Auxiliary port is fine. My phone, a Galaxy Note 4, is also on the list of compatible phones. I tried different phones (iPhone 6, Galaxy S5, etc...) and the problem is the same.

It appears that the issue has something to do with the Bluetooth Audio Streaming. If it was always like this, it wouldn't be an issue... I probably wouldn't get the Jeep in the first place. But it started behaving this way after a year and a half of good result.

Here's what I have done to try to fix the issue:
  1. Double checked my Equalizer and other settings (all is fine)
  2. Reset bluetooth device (this deleted all bluetooth devices from the device)
  3. Removing the Radio and speaker fuses, wait at least 10 minutes, and try again
  4. Disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes

None of these attempt fixed the problem. I googled how I could "reset" the radio back to the manufacturer settings, and I couldn't find how to do that. The manual is useless.

Any idea what I can do?

My radio is the Uconnect 430

Anybody?

I found out that my firmware was outdated (50.00.07)... So I upgraded it to 50.01.01. I thought for sure this would fix the issue, but the problem continues.

Yes, it seems that our 2014 Compass has the same issue with the BT audio quality. But, I've only played with it once so far so I can't say for sure. If I have to guess, it's a software issue.
