BIG 3 Engine Wiring Upgrade

Hey everyone, I'm looking to change the engine wiring to 0 gauge on my 07 Jeep Compass.
1) The wire connecting the alternator positive to the battery positive
2) The wire connecting the battery negative to the chassis (for ground)
3) The wire connecting the engine block to the chassis (ground).

Also going to replace the battery terminals for solid connections. Here's my problem! I see all the cables coming off the battery which I will replace, but cannot tell where they go because they get lost in the engine. Anyone ever do this before and know how to reach where these cables go? Damn car is like a maze to do anything..

If anyone could give me some advice on how to do this it would be much appreciated!!

Have 4 6x9 Kenwood KFC-6994PS speakers hooked up to a Kenwood KAC-8405, then a Power Acoustik's 2000W Amp hooked up to one Orion HCCA104. All controlled by a Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD. Just looking to add some extra power/support.. but the car itself isnt helping me out any haha!

Do you have the 120 or 140 amp alt stock? I would think if it came with the 140, the factory would have equiped it with adequate wiring too.

Otherwise beefing up wires alone won't help much if the alternator cant provide the juice you neec anyway.

Bear in mind that the alternator lead is fused from the factory - OBD-II seems to have ended up with a segment of fusible link wire. I would advise that this be retained when you upgrade wiring.

Just fyi...thats about a 900 watt amp configured with that sub. That'll probably draw like 75 amps though off the electrical system. I'd look into getting the 140 amp alt for the extra help.

What's it got for fuses on the amp? Im guessing 90?

Definately not a 2,000 watt amp then. I wish manufacturers would quit doing that.
