belt or chain ? (urgent: buy tomorrow)

Hello, I'm new.
I intend to buy a Compass tomorrow.
But I do not know if it's a timing belt or a chain ... The seller does not know very well ...

Can you help me?
Here is the model:

COMPASS North Edition 4x2 Automatic,
Engine: 2L Petrol , 16V, 4 cylindres, 156 CV

Thank you verry much, it's very important for me.

Yves, from FRANCE

I have '07 diesel European model, and I replaced my serpentine belt 2 years ago. Probably the same thing with yours.
