Leaking sunroof again

My Compass is back in the shop for a leaking sunroof. It keeps leaking around the front two corners when parked.

The dealer is waiting on some relacement drain tubes. Does anyone have the drawing of the sunroof assembly so I can see where these tubes are? I'm wondering if there is some sort of drip rail for the sunroof under the headliner, and where it drains to.

See if this helps. It's actually on the Patriot but similar.

Back in the shop again.

My Compass is back in the shop.
Third time in for a leaking sunroof (this time the water was coming out of the domelight.)
Second time in for the rear brakes squeeling in reverse.

I hope so too. I'm getting pretty tired of taking it back in every couple weeks for the sunroof. If it wasn't for a free loaner car, I'd take to the small dealer closer to me.

Have them replace the seal around your sunroof. If it still leaks, have them check that rear seal where the top and rear side metal overlap. There is supposed to be a rubber sealer sprayed in there. Good luck if that's the issue.

They have done that, adjusted the track, and replaced some drain tubes.
It leaks in the front two corners.

So it is your sunroof! That should be able to be fixed, or at least be an obvious issue. Keep track of the number of times it's been in,and document. Check your local lemon laws, and get ready to pick out your new Jeep, after about 6 weeks of badgering them.

mine does this about every time i back out of our garage in the AM. is there a tech or service bulletin on this? do they claim to have a 'fix' for it? it is kind of annoying, but since it's only the first thing in the AM and backing up, i can live with it......

Not a TSB but something similar in the SM.

Hi
had this from the front brakes and they have modified the pads. not checked for the rear. As for the sunroof drain tubes not had any repeat faults.
Regards,
Merlin

Is yours 2WD with the rear drums or FWD with the rear discs? (I know, dumb question, but I'm a noob here, so don't hurt me too much.)

Not dumb at all. Everybody! Please fill out your profiles! Just doing that would help us to better answer your questions. 007's came with all disc brakes, 2008 had rear drums on some. I AM NOT trying to spank anybody here, more like BEGGING.

Mine is 4wd with discs.

The dealer referenced TSB 23-043-06 on the sunroof.

On the repair for the rear brakes, they wrote." 14973 Normal noise, if vechile sits and light surface rust builds up you get this noise, we had this problem with other vechiles in this humid climate TK1092

ok, i understand the 'normal' rust build up, but just sitting OVERNIGHT? IN A GARAGE? that's all it takes for MINE to do that. and yes, mine is a 4X4 with 4 wheel disc brakes.

i wonder if that's why they have opted to put DRUM brakes on some of the '08s?
