Alignment Cam Kit

Has anyone had the experience of taking their Patriot/Compass in for an alignment & be told the car needs a Camber (Cam) Kit installed in order to do a proper alignment?? I had an independent garage quote a price of $1,000 for this. When I called my dealer they quoted a price of $350 - the service rep knew nothing about this & had to talk with his techs. I ended up getting it done by Big O Tires for $35. Why does Jeep do this????!!!

There is a couple of ways to get adjustable camber for your vehicle. Some will be very expensive while just a simple cam bolt in place of one of the strut bolts is pretty cheap.
