I received both a letter from my delearship and a coupon/brochure from Chrysler stating that for a limited time they are offering an additional $1k Cash Rebate which can be used on Commanders, Libertys and Compasses!
Don't know if it is a national or regional program.
The brochure/coupon seemed to suggest it was a limited offer to the holder of the coupon only, but the letter from the dealer did not make it sound so limited.
Just thought those out there thinking of buying should take note and inquire about it.
If I were to buy the loaded Compass they quoted me $22k for (invoice minus holdback) it would have meant a price of $21 plus title/tax/tags or probably about $22.5k out the door.
Yeah when I was shopping the Compass they had already offered me Chrysler's $500 back (it was in the MSRP vs. Invoice sheet that my dealer printed for me) as they were offering me a price of their invoice minus holdback because I was ordering it.
They told me at the time that if Chrysler offered any other money they would include that as well, so I'm assuming this would be another full $1k off the price they quoted.
I can't say for sure, but Chrysler must give them additional money on a quarterly or yearly basis which allows them to chase volume over profit-per-car.
Or they are hoping to make enough on financing, warranties etc.
You have a Caliber as well Gramps??? Must be nice.
Oh, no Tom! I ORDERED a Caliber R/T on April 15th for July delivery. The Compass wasn't supposed to be out until LATE summer and we were taking a trip back to Tucson over Memorial weekend and I needed to have time to brake it in. By mid July it was still in "D" status and not moving. Out of curiosity I went on line to see if there was anything close to what I had ordered and no luck. Then I went to the Jeep search and the Compass was out early . Went and test drove the one I liked, convinced the wife and bought it. Just really great luck
The Caliber that I ordered came in 4 weeks ago.
