255 Grabbers on Lifted Pat

Been trying to do some research and getting nowhere.

255/65R16 Grabber AT2's on a 2007 Pat with the RRO lift kit on stock rims.
Is this doable. Supposedly a 29" tire so should have plenty of room I would think.

Light offroad with wet snow and icy roads for the winters up here in BC.

Looking for some advice as I'm not a huge tire guy.

255s are rather wide and could hit the suspension on the inside of the tires with stock rims. try https://tiresize.com/calculator/ for comparing sizes.

Thank you for the response.
Totally was not expecting that 255 was the width, figured that was the height (so much to learn)

Something more reasonable would be to stick around a 225 or 235 then and make it a taller tire like a 75r16.

A 70 or 75 series 16" tire is a good general use size for a Patriot, IMO. If you want to go to custom rims later there are lots of options in 16" size, so you aren't limiting yourself.

Thanks, I went with 235/70r16 Grabbers.

Dealer felt the 255's would still fit but we went with the safe route. Since Im still getting a 29" tire.
