235/70 16 on stock wheels on FDI 2012 any rub?

I'm running 215/70s now and I know 225/70s fit with no rub but is there anyone running 235/70 on a stock FDI MK 2012 or otherwise? Is there any rubbing whatsoever on the pinch weld, or struts, or anywhere else. Thanks in advance.

I'm also wondering this....I'm possibly buying a Patriot today and I have a good set of Cooper Discoverer AT/3 235/70/16 and I'd like to know if I can throw em on there without rub.... if nobody knows, then I suppose I'll be the first to try it

I ran 245/65-17 tires, which were 29.5ish inches tall, and they rubbed like crazy until I was lifted and had spacers...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. My wife crushed a stock 16" steel wheel and tire. Rather than spend almost 150 for 2 new tires, I decided she needed more rubber between her and the ground. Originally she had 215/65/16 tires.

I was able to fit 235/65/16 with zero rubbing! These are almost an Inch wider and over an inch taller. They fill the wheel well much nicer too. Looks more like a jeep even though it's only a 2.4l 2wd lol

Pics attached.

My ride is a hemi commander QDII though

I ran them for about a year and 235/70R16's do rub with an aggressive all terrain tire when you cut the wheel as far as it can go...... I am downsizing to a 225/70/16 snow tire for the winter.

I recently purchased a 2011 Jeep North Edition 4x4 and am also looking to get a set of 235/70R16's. Would this size fit for my Jeep as well? I notice your models are a bit different.

The tires I am looking at aren't too aggressive and can get them second hand at a decent price, these are them new:

Any help would be appreciated as winter is coming soon!

Thanks!
