2013 patriot mpg

On my first 180m traveled from syracuse, ny to NYC on very hilly highway averaging 65mph I'm only averaging 19.64 mpg. Every hill I downshift to 4th gear. Seem low considering it's rated at 22/28 combined 24? Should have just kept the TJ.

Well you shouldn't really focus on MPGs until you have a few thousand miles on your Patriot. I had around 5k miles on my Patriot before I started to see consistant MPGs. The highest i've gotten is 30mpg with mostly highway driving. I did get 29mpg city driving but that was after getting the RRO lift installed and taking it easy.

I have a FDII with the RRO lift and larger tires, and I get a solid 21mpg... The first couple of tanks were not that good, but went up after a couple of thousand miles.

I bought my 2012 Sport 4x4 at 5k miles. It now has 12k. We just went on a 328 mile trip. I completely filled it before we left and didn't have to get gas until about 15 miles from home where I filled it with 12.87 gallons.

actually no. I've had 4 saabs, and they were all pretty much trouble free, and the few issues i had were ones I could take care of myself. I lost two to accidents, the 9-3, my wife was driving when a drunk diver hit her after running a red light speeding (65mph+), she was 8 1/2 months pregnant. all she had was a bruise on her arm from the air bag. lost another one when somebody failed to stop on the freeway when we all had to hit our brakes... my trunk was pushed in, but the truck was totaled... they totaled my saab out because it was an 03 with close to 200k miles on it. my first one I sold because I wanted a truck, and my last one I sold because I stopped riding motorcycles, and wanted a jeep to take out on the weekends.
