2012 Jeep Compass problems?

Instrument panel lights on 2012 Jeep Compass?

I have a brand new 2012 Jeep Compass I purchased with less than 100 miles. Yesterday, I noticed the Malfunction Indicator Light (check engine), is staying on. The stability control light and the 4wd fault indicator light comes on periodically. The drivers side window sometimes gets stuck. When pushing the window button, I get all gear lights (PNRD1), I get the oil pressure warning light, and the transmittion temp light. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Any thoughts on what could be the problem? Surely something electrical not mechanical, either way I am unhappy since it is brand new.

What did you find out? Wire harness? Computer? Ghost?

I took it in to dealership, and mysteriously the problem went away literally when I pulled into the parking lot. They looked at it and found nothing wrong. It is now almost September. Same problems came back today + I get no power, vehicle won't go above 15 mph. If I shut it off and back on, I may get some power, but it won't leave 1st gear. Right now it is shifting seemingly normal with some power, but seems limited. Don't have the road to really test it out. Regardless check engine light remains on. Contacted dealership, of course service department closed until Tuesday! I requested they come tow it and give me a rental, I live an hour away, they want me to use my own means to get it up there.

My patriot came with towing as part of the warranty... it too is a 2012. Should have a card with a number on it for towing in your owners manual package. If the CEL is on, I ALWAYS scan it before going into the dealer. You can get a scanner cheap, under 20 bucks, and anybody who owns a car should have one, and know how to use it. If you don't have one, most auto zone/checker/ auto parts stores lend them out for free, or will scan your vehicle when you bring it to them. That way you can avoid the situation you had driving to the dealer, and could have told them the code(s) that were coming up before the light went off.

The problem went away again, but came back yet again as well. Luckily this time, I happened to be across the street from the dealership. They are "booked" for a week, so I left the Compass and they lent me a loaner. Willing to bet the Compass is a lemon.
