2012 Compass Floor leak after rain.

Oh hey there,

Been a few weeks since my 2012 Conpass Limited purchase. Love it so far. Packed up early this AM for road trip and noticed a bit of water on the passenger side floor mat. We got a mild rain storm last night. Thought nothing of it.

During acceleration I noticed intermittent streams of water coming from under the dash. Glad I put in plastic bucket floor mats. The dealership said its probly a clogged drainage tube from either the sunroof or below the wiper blades.

Getting it looked at later on today. Will update.

Anyone have this problem?

I haven't but my first thought was it was coming from the A/C condensation drain tube. like in many other cars. I haven't checked to see where it runs on ours.

My first thought also, but the others are plausible. Let us know.

At the shop now. Tech said sunroof is clear. The drain runs down the A post so that was his first thought. His next best guess is a crack or build up causing leaking into the hvac assembly. Will update when I hear back.

Was a kinked drainage hose. Easy fix. The broken windshield from the tech putting wiper assembly back together is another easy fox but a pain in the butt lol

Glad you found they problem. Kinked drain tubes are one of the most common problems. If you ever need to do it yourself the methods are in the Quick Links sticky.
