2009 Patriot won't shift out of park

Hi everyone,

Can't shift out of park. (I removed that plug and manually got out of park). My mechanic replaced a brake switch, but that did not fix the problem. Also the third brake light was out, replaced that.

Anyone know what the fix is? I need to go to the dealer and would like to be prepared.

Thanks

On my 07 that happened and it ended up being a corroded wire in the harness in the left front fender well.

Thank you. MY mechanic thought it might be an electrical issue.

Dealer replaced a supplemental computer for $1,400? They also note that a wire in the wheelwell was replaced.
